Deep in the streetcar depot, untouched since the 1950s, one green tram still waits. Its bell rings each morning at 6:02 AM---unplugged, unstaffed, unaided. Judai notes the interior seats are warm, as if used seconds ago. Onboard, the maps have changed: lines lead not through the city, but through historical conjecture. Each stop is a past version of the present---“Nagasaki 1925,” “Nagasaki 1943,” “Nagasaki Yet.” An automated conductor voice repeats its announcements in Latin, then static. Juna discovers a film reel inside the coin collector’s slot---unmarked but labeled with chalk: “Return Trip.” The depot is not abandoned. It is rehearsing a departure that never finished. A performance of continuity, looped before arrival. \\

But when she looks out the window again, she sees herself---twenty years younger, waiting at a stop that no longer exists. The tram slows, but never opens its doors. She waves, and the version of herself vanishes in a spray of static. \\
