==== 3.4. The 26 Lost Passports ====
\\
(Location: Border Station Ruin, Junction of Takao and Tamagawa) \\

**Description:** \\
At an abandoned checkpoint, 26 passports lie arranged in a circle --- one for each of the lost countries. Each passport contains a black-and-white photo of the same person, aged differently, wearing the insignia of 26 vanished flags. Judai opens the first. “Birthplace: Recalled Later.” Juna inspects another: “Valid Until Removal from Memory.” None of the countries exist. Or perhaps they do, hidden in bureaucratic metaphors. A rusted stamp machine still functions, punching a date that reads: “Today + Echo.” “Maybe they’re all the same country,” Juna speculates. “Split by how we forget them.” One passport is blank, save for a name: Juna. She places it back gently, upside down. The wind doesn’t move them. Nothing does. \\

**Keywords:** \\
##vanished identification \\
##bureaucratic nationhood \\
##personal sovereignty drift \\
##rotating selfhood \\
##documented erasure \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna touched the blank passport. Her hand trembled slightly. Judai circled the line of documents. “They’re all versions,” he said. “Of the same exile.” One passport listed his occupation as “Narrator Pending.” Juna smiled at that. She stamped a blank page with the machine, and the word “YES” appeared in reverse. “We never left,” she said. “Because we were never admitted.” \\
