==== 6.1. The Lost Ballet Found ====
\\
(Location: Mausoleum of Emperor Godaigo) \\

**Description:** \\
At the foot of a moss-covered hill behind closed imperial gates in Yoshino, Judai and Juna descend stone steps into the half-forgotten mausoleum of Emperor Godaigo. What was once a crypt has become a chamber of movement. Projected onto the curved stone walls, flickers of motion repeat---a phantom ballet. A dance of five: two archers, a child, a flag bearer, and a veiled performer whose hands seem to fold time. Dust drifts like spotlight haze. Judai whispers, “They’re not dancing now---they’re being remembered.” No music plays, yet Juna feels rhythm in the cold floor beneath her feet. A placard in carved cedar reads: *This was not choreographed. It was recovered.* The performance ends mid-step, forever about to begin again. \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna stepped onto a circle etched into the stone. The moment she did, the veiled dancer reappeared, facing her. Judai remained at the doorway, notebook in hand, watching as Juna raised her arm slightly. The figure echoed her. “It’s not responding---it’s remembering me,” she said. As she slowly turned in place, the child-dancer in the ballet bowed. The floor grew warmer. Judai’s notes dissolved into small motes of static. “Maybe this is how culture protects itself,” he whispered. Juna completed the step, and the projection faded. Nothing remained but their footprints and a faint echo of dust falling in rhythm. \\
