==== 6.3. The Eventual Re-Beginning ====
\\
(Location: JAOC, Deep Radionuclide Observatory Tunnel) \\

**Description:** \\
Below the main observatory, behind radiation shielding and four turns of bureaucratic denial, lies the Eventual Re-Beginning room. A tunnel bored through granite opens into a chamber painted entirely matte black. In its center: a single telescope aimed toward a sliver of sky revealed through a distant shaft. The telescope has no lens. Instead, it uses a cylinder filled with liquid xenon to record hypothetical light from alternate universes. A paper pinned to the wall reads: *Only Events Remembered Can Recur.* Judai places his notebook on a shelf marked *Precedent Storage.* Juna sits beside the scope and listens---not for stars, but for a frequency she swears was once her name. The re-beginning doesn't arrive. It is already in motion. \\

**Keywords:** \\
##xenon event scanner \\
##subterranean recurrence lab \\
##hypothetical light recorder \\
##universe echo chamber \\
##pre-memory observation \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna leaned forward and whispered into the eyepiece. She did not expect the machine to answer---but it did, not in words, but in temperatures. Judai watched as steam curled from the base. “It’s listening backward,” he said. The xenon rippled inside its glass. Something blinked across the curved wall: a film still from their own youth, but shot from a different angle. “That never happened,” Juna said. “Then it must be scheduled,” Judai replied. The chamber grew colder. A light on the scope turned green. They left without speaking further, sure they’d arrived before they’d departed. \\
