1.25. The Date That Lost Its Shape

(Location: Ginza-Imperial Axis, North Archway of the Calendric Corridor)

Description:
The calendar corridor that Judai and Juna enter is quiet, tiled with glass squares marked by numbers: 9, 11, 3, 26, 7, 10. The days are not in order — they spin beneath their steps, rearranging as they move. “The date is refusing to stabilize,” Juna notes, crouching to observe a pulse in the tile marked 9-11. It blinks out and is replaced by 3-11. “It’s trying on different histories,” Judai replies. This corridor, known to few, was built to anchor lost time — but its anchor broke. What remains is a reel of potentialities, dates that happened and didn’t, scenes that belong to someone else. Every few minutes, a new number appears: 26. Then 0. The corridor resists being recorded. Its own date is unknowable.

Keywords:
##unstable calendar
##date-shifting floor
##calendric corridor
##anchored histories
##temporal uncertainty

Very Short Story:
Judai stepped onto the number 10. The floor hummed and changed to 11. Juna marked the transformation. “We’re walking through possible histories,” she said. She pointed to a tile labeled 26, then 3, then 11 again. “We passed that already.” But there was no pattern. Each step invited a contradiction. The dates blinked like options on a menu no one could order from. They reached the wall and saw their reflections — dressed differently, speaking a scene from a film they'd never made. The corridor whispered a countdown, but there was no detonation. Only arrangement.
