(Location: Tokyo Skyline, Facing West from Marunouchi)
Description:
On the rooftop of a modest tower, Juna observes the sunset with an instrument she’s fashioned from a Geiger counter and a lensless camera. The sun descends behind glass towers, but its glow hesitates — refracted, paused. “An unexploded sun,” she murmurs. Beside her, Judai sketches its silhouette into the calendric chart. The delay is not astronomical, but narrative: the sun refuses to set because the next scene has not been written. It hovers like a forgotten line of dialogue. Tokyo’s electric shimmer mimics dawn instead of dusk. In this city, the cycle resists completion, and illumination turns into suspension. The story cannot proceed until the light decides.

Very Short Story:
Juna held her machine steady. The needle didn’t twitch — not radiation, but narrative tension. Judai tried to trace the arc of a day that would not conclude. Around them, business lights turned on, unaware of the sun’s reluctance. “We’ve entered the frozen script,” he said. She nodded. “The projector jammed, and no one noticed.” Somewhere behind them, a billboard flickered blank. The city held its breath and waited for the next frame.
