Description:
Judai retrieves a leather-bound volume labeled *History of the Present (Provisional)*. Every time Juna flips a page, the content changes. The chapter headings mutate—first “Epoch of Delay,” then “False Translation,” then “The Story Before the Story.” The footnotes adjust to match whoever reads them. Judai’s notes begin to vanish the moment he finishes writing. “It’s not documenting history,” Juna says. “It’s writing us into it.” The librarian, who never speaks, slides them a mirror. In its reflection, the book is closed—titled *You Were Never Here.* Juna keeps reading. The ink bleeds slightly, forming new sentences. One reads: “This is your final chapter. Please proceed as if you belong.” Neither of them knows what page they’re on anymore.

Very Short Story:
Judai tried to write down a quote, but the line changed under his pen. Juna read aloud a paragraph that dissolved as she spoke it. The book resisted citation. Each time they attempted to summarize, the book rewrote the past event to contradict them. The longer they stayed, the more the room filled with titles — not pages, just names of stories they hadn’t lived yet. When they left, the librarian stamped a blank page and handed it to them. It read: “Entry Completed.”
