Description:
Prison R7 houses only those who confessed too sincerely—patriots whose loyalty embarrassed the state by being too complete. The cells are padded not for safety, but for soundproofing. Juna finds a memoir carved into the wall: *I Agreed Too Fast.* Judai inspects a display of badges returned by prisoners who offered themselves before being asked. The guards no longer visit; the place runs on an honor system maintained by echoes. Each corridor ends in mirrors, where prisoners once saluted their own reflections. “There’s no crime here,” Juna says, “only excessive eagerness.” A faded mural depicts citizens lined up to volunteer for unknown outcomes. Most of the line is missing—erased, or never painted. Loyalty, it seems, became its own sentence.
