5.16. The Propaganda Theater’s Missing Act
(Location: Victory Culture Pavilion, Room C – Curtain Archive)
Description:
The pavilion was originally designed for showcasing patriotic dramas, with an attached archive of scripts, costumes, and choreographies. But one script is missing—the pivotal third act of the popular production *Eternal Harmony*. Juna inspects the storage rack where it should be, only to find a tag that reads: *Scene Redacted for Continuity Compliance.* Judai opens a film reel labeled “Dress Rehearsal 3.5,” which shows performers walking in circles, awaiting cues that never arrive. On stage, a banner reads: *The Ending Is In You.* The final spotlight points only to an empty floorboard. When the play was last performed, audience members received differing endings whispered to them by masked ushers. Now, even the ushers are gone. The curtain still descends every hour.

Very Short Story:
They sat alone in the velvet seats. The lights dimmed automatically, and the stage came alive with absence. Judai leaned forward, waiting for the pivotal act. Juna whispered, “It’s supposed to be a moment of transformation.” Instead, a looped voice murmured lines with no verbs. The actors walked onstage, stood still, then exited. No climax. No revolt. Only repetition. As they exited, Judai wrote in his notebook: “The silence was the only rebellion.”
